The Mexican Diamonds collection is inspired by a diamond brocade traditional to Chiapas, in southern Mexico, representing the Mayan worldview.
Textiles for the collection were handwoven by Mayan indigenous women weavers in Chiapas, Mexico. The bags were made by women in an ethical production group outside of Mexico City. The production of the first bags in the collection provided 129 days of fair work to women. The sale of each bag in the collection will provide a week of life skills mentoring for an adolescent indigenous Mayan girl through our 2014 NGO partner, Redmi. Learn more.
